Isuzu Key Features

We're durable

Isuzu’s heritage in diesel engine technology means we know what it takes to get the job done. Down-time is a definite no-no in our language and here are some of the secrets that help us to achieve our strong durability and reliability:

"...At the end of the day, you want a reliable car for all your journeys."

Melt-in Liner

Through a special process called High Frequency Induction Hardening (HFIH), the cylinder liners are fused to the block. This ‘double padded’ built-in protection keeps the cylinder walls in optimal condition much longer.

Timing Gear & Chain

Unlike ordinary rubber-based timing belts that can snap unexpectedly, the D-Max timing gear and chain is made of durable hardened steel/alloy/metal for extended trouble-free driving. And the best part is its maintenance-free for life too!! Gone away the timing-belt replacement costs.

Alloy Pistons

D-Max pistons are made of Isuzu’s High Performance Alloy, with Thermal Flow Cooling channels that will not expand despite intense heat. This prevents the pistons from causing friction between the walls of the engine, thereby preserving the condition of the engine longer.

Roller Rocker

Roller rockers maintain a constant contact between the camshafts and the valve guides thereby reducing friction and noise

Fuel Cooler

This reduces the temperature of fuel resulting in better fuel atomization

Oil Cooler

Specially developed to cool the lubricants thus extending their operating life and maintaining the viscosity levels to keep it effective.

2-Storey Water Jackets

Doubles the flow of coolant through the engine keeping the temperatures at a manageable level and lessening the chance of overheating even under the most arduous of conditions.

Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR)

Electronically-controlled large-volume EGR and intake throttle valves ensure that fuel is optimally burned before being discharged into the atmosphere.

Fuel Monitoring System

This system detects the levels of impurities trapped in the diesel filter and the indicator lamp will light up when the filter is ready to be serviced. Even water particles are filtered which are harmful to diesel engines.
